Using the tools screen
A number of tools are available for monitoring and testing the activities of
the printer.
The system maintains a log of errors listed in order of severity. This can
be consulted to check for error patterns. All users, except for those with
the status of Operator, can delete the log file.
A number of on-line test patterns are available to check the quality of the
print.
Displaying the error log
When two or more errors occur at the same time, the error codes
and messages displayed on the status bar are given the following
priority:
You can display a list of errors from the error log.
To display the error log:
1. Select the Tools tab, then the Errors tab.
The Errors screen is used for consulting the error log and the various
states of the printer (power-up sequences, error codes, and so on).
The errors are displayed in chronological order and will be used
mainly by Support personnel for technical analysis purposes.
