IBM 8260 Switch User Manual

If two bridges have the same bridge priority, the one with the lowest
MAC address has higher priority.
Bridge Max Age Time
Specifies the max value for the age field (in hundredths of a second) in
the Hello BPDU before it is discarded by the Multiprotocol Interconnect
module. This value will only be used (by all the bridges in the spanning
tree as well as the Multiprotocol Interconnect module) should this
module become the root bridge.
STP Version
This parameter specifies the version of the spanning tree protocol
operating in the module. The options are
Revision_C
and
Draft_9
.
Revision_C is a proprietary version of the protocol.
4. Select the

Figure 154. LMS STP Port Parameters Panel
This panel allows you to specify the spanning tree parameters for the
specified port. Note that the port number that these parameters apply to is
displayed on the top left hand corner of the panel. You can use the
Search

,
Prev Port
and
Next Port
options from the menu bar to select the port
for which you want to set these parameters. The parameters that can be
specified are:
STP Facility
This parameter allows you to enable or disable the operation of the
spanning tree on this port. To enable this parameter, the STP facility on
the
STP System Parameters
panel must also be enabled.
Note that when STP is disabled for a port, that port still learns addresses
and forwards packets as normal.
