The following table lists the WINS characteristics displayed in the previous example.

DNS characteristics shown in the example.)
If a DHCP server provides the WINS servers and Domain Name information, the
display includes “(from DHCP)” at the end of each line of information and the name
of the DHCP server at the end of the display.
Field Description
Primary The Internet address or host name for the primary WINS
server.
Secondary The Internet address or host name for the WINS server used
when the primary WINS server is not available.
