H. Identifying the Size of the
Cassette
Specific photointerrupters (Q651, Q652, Q653,
Q654) turn OFF or ON when a cassette is slid into
a cassette holder.
Specific combinations of the states (ON/OFF) of
the photointerrupters are used by the microprocessor
on the DC controller PCB to identify the presence/
absence of a cassette and the size of the cassette
(if any) and to control scanner reversal and blank
exposure. (See Table 3-402.)
