IP QoS and Traffic Filter Commands
This chapter describes the Run-Time CLI commands that are used to configure IP
QoS and IP traffic filters in the Passport 8000 Series switch. This chapter includes
sections about the following command groups:
IP QoS Commands
IP Traffic Filters
IP QoS Commands
The IP QoS commands allow you to enable the Quality of Service (QoS) features
on the switch. Refer to Networking Concepts for the Passport 8000 Series Switch
for general information on Quality of Service features.
To enable end-to-end QoS for IP traffic, you must identify which ports will serve
as the DiffServ access port(s) and which ports will serve as DiffServ core port(s)
and set them accordingly.
To enable DiffServ for IP traffic:
1. Enable DiffServ on the ports using the following command:
config ethernet <ports> enable-diffserv true
2. Enable the DiffServ access ports using the following command:
config ethernet <ports> access-diffserv true
3. Enable the DiffServ core ports using the following command:
config ethernet <ports> access-diffserv false
