Enter the destination address.
(1) Touch the [Address] key.
(2) Enter the destination address on the text
entry screen that will appear.
Up to 64 characters can be entered.
• When the address is entered, "Registration is completed." will appear.
• Only the first 32 characters of the stored address will appear next to the [Address] key, regardless of how many
characters were stored.
• For Direct SMTP transmission, enter the address using one of the three ways below. In many cases, transmission is
possible using method (1).
(1) Using the IPv4 address of the receiving machine in the domain part of the e-mail address
Enter the e-mail address of the receiving machine with the IPv4 address substituted for the domain.
Example: When the e-mail address of the receiving machine is "user@sample_domain.com" and the IPv4
address is "192.168.123.45"
Enter "user@192.168.123.45".
(2) Using the host name in the domain part of the e-mail address of the receiving machine
Enter the e-mail address of the receiving machine with the host name substituted for the domain.
Example: When the e-mail address of the receiving machine is "user@sample_domain.com" and the host name is "HOST"
Enter "user@HOST".
(3) When the receiving machine is set to only receive e-mail from specific addresses
Enter the specified specific e-mail address.
Example: When the e-mail address of the receiving machine is "user@sample_domain.com"
Enter "user@sample_domain.com".
