MAC NOTIFICATION COMMANDS
The MAC Notification commands in the Command Line Interface (CLI) are listed, in the following table, along with their
appropriate parameters.
Command Parameters
enable mac_notification
disable mac_notification
config mac_notification {interval <int 1-2147483647> | historysize <int 1-500>} (1)
config mac_notification ports [<portlist> | all] [enable | disable]
show mac_notification
show mac_notification ports {<portlist>}

enable mac_notification
Purpose
Used to enable global MAC address table notification on the Switch.
Syntax
enable mac_notification
Description
This command is used to enable MAC address notification without
changing configuration.
Parameters
None.
Restrictions
Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To enable MAC notification without changing basic configuration:
DES-3200-28:4#enable mac_notification
Command: enable mac_notification
Success.
DES-3200-28:4#
disable mac_notification
Purpose
Used to disable global MAC address table notification on the Switch.
