config snmp engineID
Purpose
Used to configure an identifier for the SNMP engine on the Switch.
Syntax
config snmp engineID <snmp_engineID 10-64>
Description
This command is used to configure an identifier for the SNMP
engine on the Switch.
Parameters
<snmp_engineID 10-64> − An alphanumeric string that will be used
to identify the SNMP engine on the Switch.
Restrictions
Only Administrator-level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To give the SNMP agent on the Switch the name “0035636666”:
DES-3200-28:4#config snmp engineID 0035636666
Command: config snmp engineID 0035636666
Success.
