In the NewScan window, in the Scan Name box,
type a name for the scan.
You cannot specify a scan name that is already in
use.

On the ScanSchedule tab, set the frequency and
time at which you want to perform the scan. See
“Scheduling a scan” on page 164.

Selecting the scan items
When you configure a custom scan, you must select
theitemsthatyouwant toincludeinthescan.Youcan
include individual files, folders, or drives. You can
include multipledrives, folders, andfiles to addto the
scan. You can also exclude items from the scan.

When you select a drive, all the items in the drive
includingthefilesandfoldersareautomaticallyadded
to thescan. When you selecta folder, allof the files in
folder are added to the scan.
To select thescan items

In the Norton360 main window, clickPCSecurity,
and then click RunScans.

In theScans window, underComputerScans,click
CustomScan.

Click Go.

In the Scans window, do one of the following:
1 To add items for a new scan, click CreateScan.
You must provide a name for the scan in the
ScanName box.
1 To add items for an existing scan, in the Edit
Scancolumn,clicktheediticonforthescanthat
you want to modify.
