performance of your computer.
Norton 360 checks the SmartDefinitions option
settings duringeach LiveUpdate session.If the option
is turned on, the Smart Definitions are downloaded
andinstalled.Iftheoptionisturnedoff,allofthevirus
definitions are downloaded and installed.
To turn offor turnon SmartDefinitions

In the Norton 360 main window, click Settings.

In the Settings window, under DetailedSettings,
click Antivirus.

In the Antivirus settings window, click the Scans
andRisks tab.

In the SmartDefinitions row, do one of the
following:
1 To turn offSmart Definitions, move theOn/Off
switch to the right to the Off position.
1 To turn on Smart Definitions, move the On/Off
switch to the left to the On position.

In the Settings window, click Apply.

Click Close.
Turning off or turning on Automatic LiveUpdate
You canhaveLiveUpdate checkfor definitionupdates
and product updates automatically on a set schedule,
by turning on the AutomaticLiveUpdate option. You
canalsorunLiveUpdatemanually whentheAutomatic
LiveUpdate option is turned on. However, you must
runLiveUpdatemanuallytoobtainupdatesifyouhave
turned off the AutomaticLiveUpdate option.
To access the AutomaticLiveUpdate option, go the
Norton 360 main window and then click Settings>
