Removinga fileextension froma backupcategory
Each backup file category contains a list of file
extensions. However, you can remove a default file
extensionorafileextensionthatyouaddedtoabackup
file category. Norton 360 identifies the files with the
fileextensionthatyouremovedand doesnotback them
up the next time that you run backup. For example,
you do not want to back up the documents with a .rtf
file extension in the OfficeDocuments category. In
this case, you can remove the .rtf file extension from
that category.
To remove afile extensionfrom abackup category

In the Norton360 main window, click Backup,and
then click ManageBackupSets.

OntheWhattab,nexttoFileTypes,checkEditFile
Type.

Under FileTypes, next to a file category, click
Configure.

Inthewindowthatappears,selectthefile extension,
and then click Remove.

Click Save.
Resetting a backup category to default file
extensions
You can reset a file category to its default list of file
extension. When youreset a file category,Norton 360
restores the default file extension that you removed
previously and remove the file extensions that you
added.
