Turning off or turning on SONAR Protection
SONARprotectsyouagainstmaliciouscodeevenbefore
virusdefinitionsareavailable throughLiveUpdate.By
default, SONARProtection is turned onto proactively
detect unknown security risks on your computer.
When you turn off SONAR Protection, you are
promptedwithaprotectionalert.Thisprotectionalert
letsyouspecifytheamountoftimeforwhichyouwant
SONAR Protection to be turned off.

WhenAuto-Protectis turnedoff,SONARProtection is
also disabled. In this case, your computer is not
protected against emerging threats.
To turn offor turnon SONARProtection

In the Norton 360 main window, click Settings.

In the Settings window, under DetailedSettings,
click Antivirus.

OntheAutomaticProtectiontab,underRealTime
Protection, in the SONARProtection row, do one
of the following:
1 ToturnoffSONARProtection,movetheOn/Off
switch to the right to the Off position.
1 Toturn onSONAR Protection,movethe On/Off
switch to the left to the On position.

In the Settings window, click Apply.
