Scheduling a Quick Scan
Quick Scan scans the important locations of your
computer that the viruses and other security threats
often target. When you perform a Quick Scan, Norton
360 scans only the running processes and the loaded
programs. Quick Scan takes less time to scan than a
FullSystem Scanbecausethis scandoesnot scanyour
entire computer.
Norton 360 lets you schedule a Quick Scan. You can
schedule a Quick Scan in the Scans window.
To schedule aQuick Scan

In the Norton360 main window, clickPCSecurity,
and then click RunScans.

In theScans window, underComputerScans,click
CustomScan.

Click Go.

IntheScanswindow,intheEditScancolumn,click
the edit icon next to QuickScan.

In theEditScanwindow, underWhendoyouwant
thescantorun?, set the frequency and time at
which you want the scan to run.
Mostofthefrequencyoptionsincludethe additional
options thatyou can useto refinethe schedule. Set
the additional options as required.

Click OK.
Editing a scheduled scan
Youcan changethe scheduleof anyscheduled custom
scan,QuickScan,orFullSystemScanfromtheScans
window.
To edit a scheduled scan from Norton 360 Scans dialog
box
