Modifying the communication port for Network
Security Map
The NetworkSecurity Mapsettings lets youconfigure
thecommunicationportnumberthatNortonproducts
use to communicate with each other over a network.
By default, Norton products use 31077 as the
communication port number.
Ifyouchangethecommunicationportnumberofyour
Nortonproduct,youmustchangeitoneverycomputer
that is connected to your home network. In addition,
when you find more computers that use the Remote
MonitoringSetup process, ensure that the same port
number is used on every computer.

Though you can modify the communication port
number,itisrecommendedthatyoudonotchange this
port number. If you change the communication port
number, you must use a port number in the range of
1-65535.
