16.1 OA Introduction
The OA op amps support front-end analog signal conditioning prior to analog-
to-digital conversion.
Features of the OA include:
- Single supply, low-current operation
- Rail-to-rail output
- Software selectable Rail-to-Rail input
- Programmable settling time vs. power consumption
- Software selectable configurations
- Software selectable feedback resistor ladder for PGA implementations
Note: Multiple OA Modules
Some devices may integrate more than one OA module. In the case where
more than one OA is present on a device, the multiple OA modules operate
identically.
Throughout this chapter, nomenclature appears such as OAxCTL0 to
describe register names. When this occurs, the x is used to indicate which
OA module is being discussed. In cases where operation is identical, the
register is simply referred to as OAxCTL0.
The block diagram of the OA module is shown in Figure 16−1.
