Setting paper on the MP tray
Up to 150 sheets of standard paper (60 g/m² - 90 g/m²) can be set on
the MP tray.
• Acceptable sizes of paper
When copying onto special paper, be sure to use the MP tray.
NOTES
• The following types of special paper and the number of
sheets that can be set on the MP tray at one time are as
follows:
• The acceptable paper weight for thick paper actually
differs depending upon the size of the paper:
• When the optional Document Finisher is installed on
your copier, paper of the following weights can be used:
IMPORTANT!
• BE SURE to use paper that is specified for color copy
use in order to make clear color copies.
• DO NOT use paper such as that designated for inkjet
printers or any paper treated with special coating.
• When you press the “MP tray setting” key in the “Basic”
tab on the touch panel, the “MP tray setting” screen
will be displayed. In this case, you should refer to “MP
tray paper settings” on page 7-97 and follow the
procedure, starting from step 3, to specify the size and
type of paper to be used.

Open the MP tray.
NOTE
When copying onto 8 1/2" × 11" [A4R] size paper or larger,
be sure to pull out the MP extension.

Adjust the insert guides to fit the width of the paper that is
to be set on the MP tray.
