18.6 Restoring the System
This section describes the procedure for restoring the system after installing a power
supply unit. The restoration procedure differs depending on the maintenance type as
follows:

Active/Hot maintenance
■
Inactive/Hot maintenance
■
System-stopped maintenance
18.6.1 Active/Hot maintenance
1.
Connect the power c ord s to the power supply unit requiring maintenance.
For details, see "6.5.1 Installing the power cord."
2.
Confirm th at the LE D (green) of the po w er supply u nit is on.
3.
Return t o the op eration of the XSCF firm w are replacefru command to confirm
that th e power supply un it has been in corporated into the system.
For details, see "6.1 Incorporating an FRU into the System with the replacefru
Command."
4.
Execute the sho w status command to confirm that the power supply unit is
operating normally after th e completion of maintenance.
5.
Execute the sho w h ardconf command t o check the hardware configuration
and t he status of each component.
6.
Close t he rack d oor.
18.6.2 Inactive/Hot maintenance
1.
Connect the power c ord s to the power supply unit requiring maintenance.
For details, see "6.5.1 Installing the power cord."
2.
Confirm th at the LE D (green) of the po w er supply u nit is on.
