22.5 Installing the Fan Backplane
This section describes the procedure for installing the fan backplane.
22.5.1 Installing the fan backplane
1.
Fit th e fan bac kplan e into the right- and left-hand notches in the fan sh elf.
2.
Install the bracket of the fan backplane and s ecure it w ith two s cre w s.
3.
Connect the two cables to t he f an b ackplane.
4.
Support the fan shelf from be low with one hand and t hen insert it c arefully
into th e chassis.
Arranging the cables in the center makes it easier to install the fan shelf.
5.
Tighten the three screws securing the fan shelf.
