Switching from a wired (Ethernet) connection to a wireless connection
1 Press to turn off the printer.
2 Remove the Ethernet cable from the printer.
3 Press to turn on the printer.
4 Run the wireless setup application. For more information, see “Run the Wireless Configuration Utility” on
page 202.
5 Print a test page to test the communication between the computer and the printer. For more information, see
“Printing a test page” on page 217.

Switching from a wireless connection to a USB connection
1 Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port of the printer.
2 Insert the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the computer.
3 On your computer, do one of the following:
In Windows Vista:
a
Click Control Panel.
b Under Hardware and Sound, click Printer.
In Windows XP:
Click Start Printers & Faxes.
Note: Make sure that the printer driver is installed in the computer you are using. For more information, see
“Installing the printer on additional network computers” on page 57.
4 Right-click the Lexmark 9500 Series icon.
5 Click Properties.
6 From the Ports tab, select the USB port for your printer.
7 Click Apply.
8 Click OK.
9 Print a test page to test the communication between the computer and the printer. For more information, see
“Printing a test page” on page 217.
