Loading labels in Tray 1
You can load up to 25 sheets of labels at a time.
1 Load labels into the paper tray with the printable side facing down and the top of the sheet feeding into the
printer first.
2 Make sure:
• You load letter- or A4-size label sheets.
• The print side of the labels faces down.
• The top of the labels feeds into the printer first.
• You use full label sheets. Partial sheets (with areas exposed by missing labels) may cause labels to peel off
during printing, resulting in a paper jam.
• The paper guides rest against the left, right, and bottom edges of the labels.
Note: Labels require more drying time. Remove each sheet of labels as it exits, and allow it to dry to avoid ink
smudging.
Loading cards in Tray 1
You can load up to 25 cards.
1 Make sure:
• The cards are designed for inkjet printers.
• The thickness of each card does not exceed 0.025 inches.
• The cards are not used or damaged.
• The printable side is facing down.
• You follow the instructions that came with the cards.
2 Load the cards in the center of the tray, as indicated by the 4 x 6 in. (10 x 15 cm.) outline.
Note: Do not force the cards into the printer.
