Type
Select whether to create a
new program or function.
Folder
Select the folder in which the new program or
function will be stored. For information about
folders, refer to Chapter 5.
Variable
Type a variable name for the program or function.
If you specify a variable that already exists, an error
message will be displayed when you press

.
When you press
N
or

to acknowledge the
error, the
NEW
dialog box is redisplayed.
4. Press

twice) to display an empty “template.”
You can now use the Program Editor as described in the
remaining sections of this chapter.
Starting a Program Editor Session
Each time you start the Program Editor, you can resume the
current program or function (that was displayed the last time
you used the Program Editor), open an existing program or
function, or start a new program or function.

function) is saved
automatically as you type.
You do not need to save it
manually before leaving the
Program Editor, starting a
new program, or opening a
previous one.
