Switch 1 Task — Assign IP Route: C-LAN(b) to node-2
This task specifies a route for packets handled by C-LAN(b) destined for node-2. This
route is needed because node-1b and node-2 are connected via ppp and there are
intermediate nodes between them.
Begin
Steps
> Enable the ppp link on the node-1b data module screen:
ch da 2378, set Enable Link? to y.
> Open the IP Routing form — enter a ip n
[The system assigns the route number 3.]
> Enter values
> Submit the screen

Field Conditions/Comments
Destination Node: The name of the node at the destination of this route.
Gateway: Node name of the gateway by which the destination node

C-LAN Board: The location of the C-LAN circuit pack that provides the
interface for this route.
Metric: Enter 1, which indicates a complex route involving two
C-LAN boards.
