policy-map-input
Create an input policy map.

Syntax
policy-map-input policy-map-name [layer2] [cpu-qos]
To remove an input policy map, use the no policy-map-input policy-map-
name [layer2] [cpu-qos] command.
Parameters
policy-map-
name
Enter the name of the policy map in character format (32
characters maximum).
layer2 (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword layer2 to specify a Layer 2
Class Map. The default is Layer 3.
cpu-qos (OPTIONAL) Enter the keyword cpu-qos to create an input
policy to be used to rate-limit control-plane traffic (CoPP).

Usage
Information
The input policy map is used to classify incoming traffic to different flows using
class-map, QoS policy, or incoming packets DSCP. This command enables Policy-
Map-Input Configuration mode (conf-policy-map-in).
When you configure an input policy map for CoPP, you must enter the keyword
cpu-qos.
