Setting
user-defined amino
acids
13. Click User-Defined Amino Acids.
The User-Defined Amino Acids dialog box (Figure 6-17)
is displayed.

14. Add amino acid definitions and codes as needed.
NOTE: You cannot modify pre-defined amino acids.
User-defined amino acids are not saved when you
close the Data Explorer software.
15. Click Close.
Calculating the
fragment ions
16. Click Induce Fragmentation.
Results are displayed in the Ion Fragmentation
Calculator dialog box (Figure 6-18).
