Jams occur in the areas shown in the figure below. Jam messages on the control panel
correlate with these areas. For instructions on clearing jams, see the following sections in
this chapter.

Use the following table to help pinpoint and clear specific paper jams and refer to Paper path
jam areas for jam location areas in the printer. To identify the specific Jam location code for
the HP Color LaserJet 3700 series printer, display the event log entries on the control panel.
