Rejected frames per sec (*10)
– is the number of frames rejected per second over
the five-second reporting interval, multiplied by 10.

Retransmitted frames per sec (*10)
– is the number of frames retransmitted per
second over the five-second reporting interval, multiplied by 10. If the value is
consistently greater than zero and there are no other problems, you should
increase the
T1
timer (
Retransmission Period
) in the Port record.
Configuring RLP Statistics Thresholds
For each RLP statistic, you can specify a threshold that, when crossed, causes an alarm
to be sent to the collecting node.
Press
[A]
at the Statistics Menu. When prompted for a
Statistic level
, press
[Enter]
,
accepting the default of

(for RLP). A menu similar to the following figure will be
displayed.

Changing a threshold changes the database value. Press
[F7]
to write the
change to system memory.
A threshold is either a number or a percentage, depending on the statistic. The valid
range for any statistic is
0–65535
. (Default =
0.
) When the measured value for the sta-
tistic crosses the threshold (in either direction), an alarm is generated.
