The sequence of steps in placing a call are as follows:
1. The user attached to Node 1 Port 4 dials
33

2. When no additional digits have been entered for three seconds (
Dial Timer
=

),
the system assumes dialing is complete.
3. Because the configured number of speed dial digits is four (

dial string is padded with leading zeros. Therefore, the speed dial number
0033
is
used to find the destination in the map table.
4. The speed dial map entry at "

" is retrieved and the call is placed to Node 2
Port 4.

When the same configuration parameters are specified, the following steps describe

the system assumes dialing is complete.
3. Because the configured number of speed dial digits is four (

dial string is padded with a leading zero. So the speed dial number
0333
is used to
find the destination in the map table.
4. The speed dial map entry at "
0333
" is retrieved and the call is placed to Node 3
Port 5.
5. After a two second pause (
Forward Delay
=
