Access Navigator - Release 1.8 August 2003 18-111
CLI Language Reference
CLI Command List
Set DS1 Loopdetect
Purpose: This is a near-end maintenance command is used to enable CSU line loopback testing
of the Access Navigator. When loop request code detection is turned on, the Access
Navigator will respond to T1.403 defined in-band CSU bit patterned line loopback
requests. See Figure 18-28. On drop DS1s with ESF framing and T1.403 FDL protocol,
the Access Navigator will also respond to out-of-band (FDL) loopback requests.
NOTE: Detection is normally turned on for “switch” and “groom” DS1s and
turned off for “drop” DS1s. This allows higher level equipment to test the
Access Navigator and ignores requests from lower level equipment. This
command has no effect on the Access Navigator’s ability to test remote CSUs
such as Access Banks.
NOTE: In-band loop code detection works with ESF or D4 framing. It will
respond to the following T1.403 defined code words, repeated for 5 seconds.
Line loopback activate: 00001 00001 00001 ...
Line loopback deactivate: 001 001 001 001 ...
Security: Level 2 (operator)
