Access Navigator - Release 1.8 August 2003 18-113
CLI Language Reference
CLI Command List
Set DS1 Remote Device Mgmt
Purpose: Sets the remote device management type for the management channel.
NOTE: CA FDL management requires a Type 2 T1 line with ESF framing
and FDL capability. If FDL facilities are not available, CA IP management can
be used instead to send IP packet data over a DS0 channel in the drop DS1.
NOTE: When remote device management is enabled (any setting except
none), the DS1 FDL protocol must be set to none. See Set DS1 FDL on
page 18-106.
NOTE: The Access Navigator only supports P-Phone service between a
remote Adit 600 terminal and a Nortel DMS switch (see Set Switch Type on
page 18-131). The Access Navigator must be configured for Carrier Access IP
management (CAIP) with P-Phone service (pphone) enabled so that the IP
DS0 channel can also carry P-Phone management data.
Security: Level 2 (operator)
Syntax: set ds1 <n> remote device mgmt <cafdl|caip ipaddr|ds1 n|none>
Syntax: set ds1 <n> remote device mgmt caip ipaddr pphone
Example: set ds1 10 remote device mgmt cafdl
This will affect 'remote device management' for a remote
device using CAIP.
Are you sure you want to change the management type (y/n)?
Example: set ds1 11 remote device mgmt ds1 10
Example: set ds1 13 remote device mgmt caip 192.168.3.158
Example: set ds1 14 remote device mgmt caip 192.168.3.159 pphone
