Purpose: Sets the T1 Drop framing type to D4 or ESF. (T1 PBXs generally use D4 framing; T1
routers may use D4 or ESF.)
The Access Bank II provides a second T1 port, called the T1 Drop, for connection to a
T1 PBX or T1 router. You can connect one or more DS0s to the T1 Drop, using a
fractional interface. The Access Navigator automatically assigns DS0s to the T1 drop
in sequential order, starting with T1 Drop DS0 #1. If the router does not have automatic
rate sensing, it will have to be programmed for the proper data rate. Use the show
remote command to display the current settings stored in the Access Navigator’s data
base).
