151 CHAPTER 7: CONFIGURING SNMP
This command configures target 1 at IP address 10.10.40.9. The target’s
SNMP engine ID is based on its address. The MSS SNMP engine will send
notifications based on the default profile, and will require the target to
acknowledge receiving them.
The following command configures a notification target for
unacknowledged notifications:
WX1200# set snmp notify target 2 10.10.40.10 v1 trap
success: change accepted.
Enabling the SNMP
Service
To enable the MSS SNMP service, use the following command:
set ip snmp server {enable | disable}
The following command enables the SNMP service:
WX1200# set ip snmp server enable
success: change accepted.
Displaying SNMP
Information
You can display the following SNMP information:
Version and status information
Configured community strings
User-based security model (USM) settings
Notification targets
SNMP statistics counters
