Install new circuit
pack
Insert software
memory card into the
active SPE. Use the
"list config soft"
command to verify
you have the correct
version. If the
software does not
match or the update
file contains data
escalate.
Replace the
translation memory
card in the active
SPE
Issue the "test"
commands on the
NEW circuit pack to
resolve alarms
If "list" or "test"
commands are
blocked after
repeated tries, use
the "busyout
spe-standby" and
"release spe-standby"
commands and try
again
Replace processor
circuit pack (do not
remove SPE power)
Replace software
memory card with
translation memory
card when prompted
from SAT
IGNORE prompt from
SATtoreplaceactive
translation memory
card. Wait 3 minutes.
"list configuration
software-versions
long" to verify
identical active and
standby software
Install new circuit
pack
Re-insert the standby
SPE processor circuit
pack
Insert software
memory card into
standby SPE
Wait for background
